Thursday - Reception:
A pre-conference reception will be held on the evening of Thursday Sep/7 in the Lobby of the Physics Building.

Thursday - Public Lecture on the 2013 Nobel Prize in Physics:
A special public lecture on this year's Nobel Prize in Physics (François Englert and Peter W. Higgs) will be held in Monsanto Auditorium of the Life Sciences Building (7:00 pm to 8:00 pm): "Higgs Boson and Beyond: The Big Questions in Particle Physics" by Prof. Mark Neubauer (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign). This lecture is open to the public!

Friday - Lunch and Visit to the Department of Physics & Astronomy:
The Department of Physics and Astronomy will host a Lunch for students in the Physics Library on Friday Nov/8, followed by a visit to the Department facilities.

Friday - Visit to the Nuclear Reactor:
The
University of Missouri Research Reactor will host a tour of the research facilities on Friday Nov/8. Please note: Limited space available and U.S. Citizenship required. A government-issued photo-ID will be necessary during your visit, as well as long pants and closed toed shoes. IMPORTANT: It is necessary to pre-register by emailing Dr. Thomas Heitman before October/31.

Friday - Conference Banquet:
The meeting banquet will occur at the Memorial Union on Friday evening.

Saturday - Excursions:
A walking/bicycle tour on a portion bordering the Missouri river of the Katy Trail (the country’s longest “rails-to-trails” trail at 383 km) and/or 10 km canoe trip on the Missouri river is planned for Saturday afternoon, weather permitting. More information and sign-up will be available during the conference.
